Cartier has long been recognized as one of the leading designers of watches for gentlemen and ladies. The Santos model was created in 1904 at the request of its namesake, Alberto Santos-Dumont, who was an aviator and wanted a watch he could wear on his wrist while flying instead of a pocket watch.

This particular model is the Santos 100 Medium in stainless steel on leather.
