Doxa Sub300 Carbon Aqualung COSC
Among the most collectable Doxa SUB 300 models are the elusive ‘Black Lung’ watches. The Cousteau-Gagnan CG45 led to the formation of La Spirotechnique by Air Liquide to bring their innovation to market. In English-speaking territories, the name Aqua Lung was adopted, and by their U.S. subsidiary, US Divers, which Air Liquide took over in 1956. As a member of Cousteau's team, Claude Wesly facilitated an exclusive distribution deal between Doxa and US Divers, leading to their twin-hose scuba tank logo being featured on Doxa watch dials. During this era of ‘branded’ product development, a limited run of watches featuring a distinct yellow-and-black logo emerged, now highly prized by collectors.
This Doxa Sub 300 Carbon Aqua Lung COSC US Divers Sharkhunter Automatic has the forged carbon 42,5mm case. It comes as a full set in near mint condition with a set of rubber straps for smaller wrist. Rubber strap fitted is cut for a 19cm wrist with clasp closed. 1 year warranty!
