The Super Squale model was born in the 60s, and immediately became one of the most popular Squale brand watches. It is no coincidence that in 1959 Charles Von Büren also registered the Super-Squale "trademark" together with the "Squale" brand itself, a symbol of a watch destined to become iconic in the world of underwater watchmaking.

The Super Squale model was born as a real skin diver: with water resistance of 200 metres, a 38mm case diameter and only 45mm in length, the Super Squale was designed to be as compact as possible when diving, with or without the wetsuit.

The new Super Squale models don't just pay homage to the past: the versions characterized by designs faithful to the originals of the time are joined by totally new models, with a modern breath but always maintaining the characteristics necessary for diving.

All Super Squale model's has the Elebore grade automatic calibers, double domed sapphire crystal and superluminova C1.

This striking model is notable for its “younger aesthetics” and was produced in both red and yellow versions. The piece was launched by racing legend Michael Schumacher who had become a new OMEGA ambassador in 1996. As well as featuring a racing-style minute track, the watch had a rubber presentation box that resembled the tyres of F1 cars and featured Schumacher’s signature in white.

Born in the 1970s, the 1545 collection was produced on request for numerous other brands when Squale was one of the first manufacturers of “water resistant” speakers in the world. Over the years, the case "Y1545" (serial production number of the case - from which the collection takes its name) was made in different sizes and with different finishes but without ever losing its own style that distinguishes it and which has remained unchanged up to the present day. Like every Squale watch, safety and resistance are the fundamental characteristics of each timepiece. For this reason, all models in the 1545 collection are equipped with a red rubberized gasket inside the screw-down crown. This gasket (the O-ring system) allows you to understand at a glance if the crown is closed or if it has remained open, since, when the crown is closed correctly, the gasket is not visible.

A perfect example of how this passion for light and shadow is translated into the home is Karesansui, the uniquely Japanese style of garden in which landscapes of mountains and water are evoked using only rocks and sand. The illusion of water is expressed in white sand, and even when a dim light shines on the surface, a wave-like pattern emerges from the contrasting planes of light and the shadow formed by the deep grooves.

The dial of this Grand Seiko eatures a delicately embossed pattern of gently curving lines that radiate out from the center. As the angle and intensity of the light alters, the dial presents an ever-changing aspect, just as does the sand in a Karesansui garden.
